less expensive !, tastes great !, wine with high Quality to Price Ratio in these Interesting Times…

Last week I participated in a Holiday Wrapping Party @ Montebello at Summit Ridge with Community Managers Deborah Langdon, Kristi Kenney and staff and as a Wineosaurus often does assisted in pouring the wine. Of the selection of wines several stood out as quality wines and were a re-introduction into the world of less expensive with with excellent quality. This having a great Quality to Price Ratio (QPR) is not a new measurement however it is, in this day and age, an unexpected pleasure to find in the $10 and under range.

The wines were Bears’ Lair Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and Black Mountain Syrah from Napa and. Sonoma. They are part the Bronco Wine Co. family and are available at Trader Joe’s

They were extremely well received and tasted at many times their perceived price value. The Merlot had veriatel characteristics as well as good fruit and pleasant finish. The Cabernet and Syrah were equally as drinkable and enjoyable.

In addition to “discovering” less expensive wines at the wrapping party a good time was had by all present and the donations to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada were greatly appreciated.

In the nature of full disclosure; We drink the wines, savor the foods, and have a very good time. We also share our experiences and are not concerned with the sourcing.
